I might need to take over OvrC devices that were originally installed by another dealer.

Is there a process through SnapAV to transfer OvrC sites from one dealer to another?

I believe the only way is for you to have an OVRC pro hub on site. I'm not sure of the process but when I last looked into it, I was told this is a must. Seems crazy snap can't transfer it for you.

I think there is a 100 series hub at the property... I'll contact their support to inquire.

Contact support. When I have done it they have requested proof of a switch in dealers (letter from client)

I was told a few years ago the only way was for the original install company to "release" themselves from the hardware.  This was probably before Snap's attempt at a hub box though.

This is what I was told on a takeover job last June. Apparently, even then, tech support has to do some additional voodoo to make it happen. Fairly certain sacrificing a chicken under a full moon is part of the process, but they wouldn’t confirm.

I was also told on a takeover job in January that the other dealer has to "release" it.

You can do it with a hub. I’ve done it on some customers that followed me from my old company. I think if there is a hub on site, there is a way to default it and tell it to release from the old account

No Hub - old CI must release.

Hub - not sure.

The ONLY way to transfer a Hub is to DELETE it from the existing site. Then its free to use anywhere. Not sure how you would be able to do that if you didnt have access to the original OvrC site though. Hub are not like other devices in that they cannot be transferred. Delete only.

Snap MIGHT have a way. Actually, I bet they do and can but dont and wont do it nilly willy for legal reasons.

All you have to do is put a hub on the site, claim all of the system, then delete the hub (if you don’t want to leave it). I carry a hub in my laptop bag for this purpose.

The Pro Hub takes all the existing devices, even if registered to another dealer?
