The Pro Hub takes all the existing devices, even if registered to another dealer?

Thanks for the information... sorry it's taken so long to respond.

I'm still confused about the process.  I emailed back & forth with SnapAV tech support 2-3 times as well and it's still unclear how to do this.

The site does have an existing hub installed by the original dealer.  It's the first generation hub and the default password has been changed so I don't have access to it.

I think I also have one or two of the original hubs in my parts box that were removed from sites when the router was upgraded to the new modem with OvrC built-in.

Interesting to see if you took out the existing hub and put your own in, if you could grab those devices.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Yes. Absolutely. How? I dont really know. Everytime I have had it done, Snap handled it for me.

Snap did one for me in the past. but since several months ago they say you need Ovrc Pro Hub on site. Funny is that the new routers with Ovrc Pro Built-in don't do this.

I'm trying to reclaim my system from a dead dealer. There are none in my area now.

I got a ovrc-100-hub off ebay, but I can't get the latest firmware for it since I don't have a dealer code to log into snapav.com and the 2.2.x series that comes with it doesn't have the Scan and Delete options to reclaim devices on my network.

Snapav has been unhelpful on the phone thus far.

Is anyone here able to help me out in getting a firmware upgrade? ovrc-100hub_FW_5.1.0.4

Unless you live on the moon, there is a snap dealer in your area. So don’t try to bullshit this group.

This is what I was told on a takeover job last June. Apparently, even then, tech support has to do some additional voodoo to make it happen. Fairly certain sacrificing a chicken under a full moon is part of the process, but they wouldn’t confirm.

This may be to prevent hostile takeovers of installations- if someone goes in and talks their way into the homeowner's wallet, they could prevent the installing dealer from going back to the original one once the FNG screws up and pisses the homeowner off enough.

I got a WattBox 300 from someone who owned a store and I'm not sure, but I think the homeowner was selling the house, so everything was removed to be taken somewhere else, or whatever. I tried to connect in the iPhone app and it didn't allow me, so I called Snap. I was told the other dealer has to release it before I can use it.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

Put it on your network and install a pro hub. The hub will claim it and pull it in to your account

This can be done using the pro hub onsite
If you do not have the pro hub, I have a way to do it remotely. PM me for more info

The pro hub will allow you to scan the network for all existing devices. When all of the devices are found, you have an option to remove all the devices from OvrC
This will remove the hub and any device that it found in that environment even devices that was already connected to your OvrC account.
A hub can run anywhere from $155 to $300. I have a way of doing this remotely, if you're interested PM me for more info.

What's the brand and model of "The pro hub"? Do you have some connection to the company that makes or sells it?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Have you looked on SnapAV's website for OverC product info?

The key to the process is to log into the web server of the OVRC hub directly and scan for devices. if you do it from the OVRC portal online it omits the previously claimed devices as though they aren't even on the network. Log into the Hub directly, scan and claim then delete. Works great.

Does anyone know if once a 300 Hub is claimed by a dealer into their OVRC, could another service person claim it into his OVRC in the future? Even if original servicer was no longer around to "unclaim", release it? I've never had use for one until now. New client and need to access all their Araknis equipment remotely, all still claimed into OVRC by site builder 8 years ago. They are no longer in existence
