I know that many of you believe there is no real performance difference between the various brands of speaker cable. Any correctly terminated cable of the correct gauge will do.

What about bi-wiring speakers? Any real difference from bi-wiring (not bi-amping) speakers like Paradigm Studio 100's?

Theory says that there's no difference between bi-wiring and using a larger single cable.

Biwiring is the best $ for$ upgrade any Paradigm owner. Have been a dealer forever and the serious listeners are thrilled with the results. (originally 12 guage run , then addition of another run of 12 guage)

you're hearing what you want to hear.

If a speaker has 2 set of poles, then bi-AMP that SOB... Get a Rane electronic crossover, 2 good amps (one 100 watt, one 50 watt), and wire em up.
We can do it my way, or we can do it my way while I yell. The choice is yours.

There is a benefit to biwiring but the most overlooked one is the replacement of those brackets that link the high and low speaker binding posts with speakerwire. Try it.

I bi-wired my KLH Speakers and it gave them an extra 100 watts!

Absolutely, excurciatingly* RIGHT! But how much bigger would it have to be to be to give the same improvement in clarity that bi-wiring can give?

I just spent a half hour doing the math, and it was getting more and more eye-glazing. Let me just suggest that running a second set of, say, 14 gauge wire for the high frequency portion of a speaker is probably similar to running 8 gauge or 6 gauge without bi-wiring.

Anybody up for that?

I find pulling a 14-4 instead of a 14-2 MUCH preferable to pulling a 6-2 or an 8-2. And who makes them, anyway? Especially stranded?
