Presently we use Crestron which have great products and are solid. I am increasingly becoming frustrated with cross border issue delays. Once the order is shipped it can take up to 5-6 days to get here.

We had a recent issue where their customer service screwed up the export documentation which created more delays.

We also had an issue with some seats coming in from California which ended up in bond for 2 weeks pending an inspection from Canada Border Services.

Between these types of issues and foreign exchange calculations which fluctuate daily, I'm looking to source locally in Canada.

My question. Does Control4 distribute from Canada? If not what are your experiences with their customer service and distribution?

I ordered a mess of SONOS right after black Friday for overnight delivery. For some reason it shipped out of Canada and held up at the boarder for 3 days.

I didn't even know sonos had a warehouse in Canada.

You can thank the US gov. Things coming into the US from Canada are stopped by our customs and border people.

Must be an east coast thing. I'm in BC and I order from Crestron and it takes between 3-4days to get here from date of order. Haven't experienced a delay at the border in 9+ years.

I've wondered if Control 4 would come into Staub who distribut Snap products.

There are currently two Control4 warehouses in North America: Salt Lake City, UT and Hebron, KY. I believe Canadian orders default to Fedex 2 Day. Contact the area sales rep for your territory, I’m sure they’d be happy to discuss this more and move you from away Crestron :-)
