Time to replace my very outdated Wirepath 9 channel analog DVR camera system.

I would like to go 16 channel, NVR, POE, 4MP.

Recommendations?

Thanks!

I'd personally go with a Hikvison NVR and 4K cameras. The cost isn't much more these days and the ability to digitally zoom much better is worth it. My 2 cents

Seems the obvious choice would be to use whatever brand you are selling.
Unless you don't want to use what you are selling to customers. Then the question becomes, why then are you selling that brand to customers.

Food for thought.

I wonder if with that many camera's it would be better to use two DVR's and split camera's/locations between them so that if something went down, you might still have 1/2 your cameras running.

WOW!

You know... I just had a car dealership with 32 cameras. Someone [I was going to use a derogatory] installed 2 16 channel recorders for the cameras, instead of a single 32 channel system. The customer was having a lot of issues trying to manage between the 2 systems, and that was WITH the native software. Trash canned that BS and put a proper 32 channel recorder in and everything worked fine.
At the time, I thought the installer that did this maybe thought he was saving the customer money or something. Maybe there was another thought process involved.

Enterprise solutions have redundant power supples, raid configurations, hot swappable drives, and failover options.  It's pretty unlikely you'll miss anything with a properly setup surveillance system.

Lots of good recommendations here.

Know a good Hikvison distributor to work with? I understand grey market means no warranty.
