WOW!

You know... I just had a car dealership with 32 cameras. Someone [I was going to use a derogatory] installed 2 16 channel recorders for the cameras, instead of a single 32 channel system. The customer was having a lot of issues trying to manage between the 2 systems, and that was WITH the native software. Trash canned that BS and put a proper 32 channel recorder in and everything worked fine.
At the time, I thought the installer that did this maybe thought he was saving the customer money or something. Maybe there was another thought process involved.
