Just wondering if anyone knows the policy for a Control4 amp out of warranty by about a month and a week.
I'm having to rip the amp out, send it back for repair, pay for shipping both ways. Not sure if this is a new policy but I had never seen it played out like this.

I remember the good old days where we just fudged the invoice to make things "in -warranty". Now most manufacturers start the warranty clock the moment you receive the product.

According to the C4 website it looks like C4 is one of the few who still go with the client purchase date...which is very fair IMO in this day and age.

2. LIMITED WARRANTY TERM.
This Limited Warranty runs for a period of two (2) years from the date that the Customer purchases the Control4 Product from an authorized Control4 dealer (“Dealer”) as shown by an invoice or sales receipt for the Product Hardware (“Hardware Warranty Period”). Customer must retain the appropriate documentation as proof of the purchase date.

It's out of warranty...and you are being treated as if it is out of warranty...sure, it would be nice if they decided to cover it anyway, but getting pissy because they won't isn't reasonable.

Pretty sure its 2 years from shipment with a 90 day grace period for stock.

Didn't sound pissy to me.

We've all been to a service call on a Friday afternoon where it turned out to be a part that you don't have in stock to fix it.......

Which is just out of warranty........

An you have to break the news to them......

And they're having a party tomorrow.......

Those were extended to 36 months. Are you at 37+ months from ship date?

I agree with your words, but it seems like you're being sarcastic.

Maybe technical people aren't very good at communicating or understanding emotions, especially since there's no sarcasm font.

Let's face it -- it's damn irritating to have to deal with something that's juuuuussssst out of warranty.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I thought it had changed to 2 years across the board recently, but the website certainly doesn't reflect that. It clearly says 2 years from the date the customer purchases it.

I know I have been told from C4 peeps to rotate stock to keep inside this 2 year 90 day period.

The website is pretty clear though.
