now i'm looking for a similar "code value" for a key that my Harmony Remote system knows about, but not me. the key: LIVE
anyone know how to find this information?
The wild woolly and antique world of the original Pronto has software that different users found or wrote to allow all sorts of manipulations of IR codes. I used these things about a dozen years ago to find all the different codes of a codeset. I cannot remember the names of the programs, but people who still lurk in the Original Pronto forum should be able to help you.
In my case I had several commands for a particular component and the software made it possible to generate all the codes for that particular codeset; they could then be tried out to see what they did. The only watchits were that if a code was only used after one other particular code was used, you'd never know it; and if a code put a component into a programming mode (for instance), you'd not know it and might brick the unit because, depending on what codes you were messing with, once you were in the programming mode you would not know which buttons to push to get out of programming mode.
Note: a watchit is a situation where, as you creep up on it, the hair on the back of your neck rises and all your senses shout WATCHIT ! ! at you.
