People live there because it's paradise in a lot of places. I just don't think that a lot of people can really appreciate what it means to quality of life to live in a place where 225'ish+ days a year it's sunny, mild, and low humidity.

There are a lot of things that are nice about other places, like lost cost of living and low population. But, nothing compares to almost perfect weather almost all the year. It makes everything else better.

I'd cut off one to two of my legs with a plastic dinner knife to back to Silicon Valley and away from South Carolina. I've been back here 4 years and I loath every day pretty much, and those are the good days. There's no fall here, and not much of a spring. It's basically too hot or too cold. That makes everything else on a daily basis suck.

I can ignore the politics and the news pretty well.
If it wasn't for crazy, stupid and misguided gun laws in CA, I could see myself living in that state.

That's the reality for silicon valley. You move out it is almost always permanent. Housing costs are so high most cannot afford to move into the area. If you're here and own it really is a fantastic place to live. I'm approaching retirement age and I can pick anywhere I want to retire to. My choice is to stay put.

Would be great if Californians would stay in California. We don't need any more.
I came into this game for the action, the excitement. Go anywhere, travel light, get in, get out, wherever there's AV trouble, a man alone.

Most people in California that have lived in their homes more than 20 years, could not afford to purchase the house they are living in.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Born and raised in Southern California, left in 08 with a smile on my face never to return to live. I came back for a couple years to take care of a terminally ill parent, hated every second of being there. Its an S-hole. Very sad. Not to mention stealing more and more water from central California's agriculture, the invisible train, bullshite agendas, insane gas prices and on and on.
The whole west coast is ridiculous.

Crap, I forgot, painting the streets white to fight global warming.
