I still use DTV, but we did negotiate the bill AND went to a lower tier of programming. The couple of channels that were lost going to the lower tier, I can stream for free online at that channel's website, so no loss there.

Use off air as well as Amazon Prime.

We tend to use the antenna and Prime more and more, DTV less and less.

I figure it's only a matter of time before we drop DTV entirely, unless they go to a good a la carte set up.

Really tired of paying for a lot of crap channels I am not interested in.

For those of us that have clients that have no issue paying us to "handle everything", DTV is becoming a complete pain in the ass.  They are moving all the accounts to an RC1 account which means that we can no longer get equipment from any 3rd party.  No Solid Signal, no local guys we've all used for 15 years because he does the best work, nothing.  This morning the only way I could get 1 additional non genie box for my client was to set up an appointment for their technician to get into the house.  (FYI this client will never let another DTV "technician" into their house).

Should be an easy talk to switch them to DishNetwork then.

Everyone of my customers that has DirecTV, has become increasingly frustrated with them. And with the new policies in place, it makes it almost impossible to take care of my customers that want to stick with them.
I am very actively trying to switch every customer I have away from DirecTV. Whether that be Dish, Comcast, or cutting the cord doesn't matter. As long as it isn't DirecTV.

Our DTV dealer told me this last week. He can set up new service and do new work, but is t supposed to do any service work or add receivers to accounts. I told him to brush up on his dish network knowledge.

It's amazing how difficult they make it to give them money for their service!

DTV is dead to me, but that damn Sunday ticket though!.. I have Dish, but my family unit tends to spend more time on ATV. On Sunday though I was ripping through the guide and noticed a stranger on channel 300 and blankness above it. A quick read on it blames both sides, my conclusion is- good for Dish for standing their ground, but in playing hardball with the crooks- they’re tucking off a lot of subscribers. What a world!
*ticking

My recent dealings with DTV were not overly pleasant, but....

When informed that to replace a failed receiver that a service call would be needed, at a cost of about a $100, I told them "Not happening. Either you send me the replacement to install, or you cancel the account.", and that worked.

Now that I have the replacement and it seems to have a problem retaining the guide info, we'll see what happens next (trying a local fix tomorrow first).
