That distributor was not talking very carefully. Saying the new chipset should "fix" the issue is like saying "This new video source has an HDMI output. That should 'fix' the fact that the old one only had VGA." Or that use of an FM tuner "fixes" the problem you had trying to get FM on an AM tuner. It's a little deeper than fixing.

It I not a matter of whether it will work, it probably has a decent chance of working. The question is can it carry transmit anything above basic 4k 4:2:0? Looking at their website they seem to have one model that will theoretically work up to 50 meters. it doesn't give exact spects but uses that term virtually lossless compression so I hope it is capable of using a full 4k signal. All the others will probably work but will change the source to its capabilities which is most likely basic 4K. Here is the one that might work. [Link: vanco1.com]
