I like the Sony a little better but have done quite a few LG displays.
Other then the OEM remote being horrid (not really a huge issue, most OLEDs we sell are part of a broader project that includes a remote).

Also: The goofy, childish menus and boot/setup screen with cartoon birds and planets on it.
I am a trained professional..... Do not attempt this stunt at home.

We do mainly LG with Sony's as an option. Don't have any issues with early failure. We stay away from Samsung at all costs.

I have had sync issues with a couple of recent LG TVs.

Source to Denon AVR (2015 model) through SnapAV Extender to LG TV. It is SOOOO slow to sync and often just does not sync.

Source to Marantz AVR (2017 Model) through SnapAV extender to LG TV. It is also very slow to sync but is a bit more reliable.

I have not experienced this with other TVs using the same setup. Granted it could be several things but I find it easy to point it at the TVs for now.

I also hate how they keep telling the customer there is a problem. Most manufacturers do this but LG is the worst ("network is disconnected", "source not detected", etc...) I get more calls from LG owners regarding this. People will see the alarming no source detected message as the TV boots before the HDMI negotiation is done and they call up complaining to me that something is wrong (even if I did not sell the TV! The universal remote and my programming get the blame). I have looked for a way to turn off notifications but I did not see away to do this.

I'm the same as Greg.  I use mostly the upper end LG models and have been for around five or six years now.  Not a single issue in that time.

Actually Greg, I think it was you who told me to give them a go!  ;-)
