What is the Rack?

Can you not slide the rack rails back enough to accommodate the required depth for the door to close with the cables installed?

My impression was that only one component needed to be recessed.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Use this, [Link: middleatlantic.com], from middle atlantic, it is a 3 inch recess 2U and requires cage nuts. We use them all the time along with the middle atlantic brush plate mentioned prior.

Beautiful, contemporary, clean rack.

Might benefit from MA trim strips (MA Trim Kit, Anodized [Link: middleatlantic.com])
