I often find myself struggling to describe our profession in one sentence as most other people can/do.

Most professions can come out with something pretty quick and descriptive and I'm curious to hear how you guys quickly and effectively describe yourselves or our business that does it justice.

Thanks in advance!

Rob.

"Oh, nuthin'". Or, I say "A little of this, a little of that".

The daughter of a customer started calling me 'Stereo Jim' when she was 3 years old and it has stuck.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

This topic has come up before I think it was on the other site I saw someone say when people ask what they do, there answer is “I sell and service adult toys”.

Audio/Video system design and installation.

On a commercial job, an English lady once dubbed us "the tunes guys."
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Magician. We make all the magic happen.

We're the people you call even if your damn refrigerator breaks down!

Actually I just say we do home technology. Smart homes, audio/video distribution and remote control systems.

I watch other people's televisions for a living.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
