EDIT!

Nevermind, the EV driver works fine...had to set remote device renderer to ON....Player turns on/off fine!

Where can I find the EV driver, or rather how to search in the C4 database?

I tried the other IP drivers in C4 for this model bluray to no avail.

Only seeing IP driver for the 1000, guessing you tried it? Does it not show up via SDDP?

search sony "bluray" you will see one that says "sony free" thats the one!

Works like a charm, even on the cheapo ones!

The 1000 driver did not work for me.

I looked for it under SDDP and did not see it

This returned no results, should it still work? Is there another model to try?
Thanks

if you have the 800m2 version, IP control no longer works.  you would need the older, non m2, version for it to work.

This is True.

the Old Sony FREE Extra vegetables driver is still in the database and still works other players in the line. For some reason, Sony decided the 800M2 doesnt get IP Control.

Thanks for the replies.
I'm about to test this out, but I am trying with a UBPX700.

According to Sony, there is no IP control :/

at the time that the non m2 version of the 800 worked with IP, the sony techs said the same thing.  it worked just fine.  maybe they realized their mistake after someone pointed it out to them that it worked and decided to disable it on the next version.

pretty sure the 700 does not work with ip control though.  if you want an ip contrallable sony, i believe  you need to look at the higher end ES version.

The UBPX700 did have IP control and worked well enough.

Initial issues with Power On were overcome. The menu structure with the Apps was a little confusing to the customer - I believe the exit/return from Apps was not easy. It was left as IP control however.

It is strange that Sony advised it did not have IP control.
