Sweet. Good to know that you don't need the AVP for this application.

The only thing that puzzles me is why I just came across this. All of my jobs that have JAP have defaulted to the TV that accepted Dolby or the AVR. The only thing I can think of is the first thing I did was turned on my bedroom tv and it shot the EDID to JAP?

I have always made the settings in the devices to Dolby or DTS and the AVR has shown this too.

I found the problem with a ROku. It would only do PCM when the HDMI was plugged into the JAP system. I had a Surround Sound Zone, so I needed DD. I was using just 2g, so I just put in the 2gAVP piece, then the Roku output DD for the surround sound zone. It's stupid how on the roku you cannot change these settings, its all done via EDID.

capturing the EDID from the AV receiver and storing it in the transmitter didn't work?

I think he didn't know you could do this from his reply to me getting it working on my house.

The AVP/3G stuff would be required for jobs with atmos audio. Chances are though if your doing atmos you are also doing 4K so would be doing 3G anyway!
