Does anyone really make a true 4K solution? My understanding is no one has a true 4K HDBaseT option. Can JAP do 18g?

The tech does not exist yet

The customer probably bought these TV's (cheap) online and would be bummed if the video distribution costs more than the TV's.

It's time to tell people to grow up. TVs have changed.

Ten years ago, appropriate TVs might have been plasmas costing $5,000 each. Today they're flat panels and cost way under $1,000. Your customer is complaining because TVs cost less today but but wire, ancillary devices and labor have not magically evolved to a lower price?

I'm sure you could get him stupidly expensive TVs (or simply charge a 'product-labor ratio correction fee' of $2,000 per TV), such that labor is not more than the price of the TVs. I'll bet he would not be satisfied if you adjusted things such that the TVs cost more than the distribution system!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

No, JAP supports 4k 60 4:2:0 and HDR. One of my reps has been talking about techlogix which is similar to JAP, using 10G switches. Has anyone else heard anything about them?

I think in this case it is just about the numbers. I would be willing to bet the customer doesn't know or care about 10g 4k vs. 18g 4k w/HDR. As long as it is 4K (big number).
And I bet he is picking up cheap 4K TVs too, not really concerned about picture quality.
And it is a gym, with C4 control. I agree with our friend from BlackWire Designs, this is perfect for JAP. Even I will agree to this one.

I just deployed a JAP system today with C4, went smoothly, bought it from BWD, looking forward to my next one.

If Kevin supports the solution, then go with it.

Don't use avrs for the audio, that's amateur, if you have C4 in there, use a decent amp and call it a day.
Hey, careful man, there's a beverage here!
