I'm thinking maybe we get rid of the OP?? Or could we at least get a kickstarter going to purchase him a set of testicles??

By which you mean Bonavox, the OP in this thread? Or Mac, the OP in the other thread? I can't see a reason to get rid of either one, though I rarely agree politically with Mac. I don't remember Bonavox's political persuasion but his over the top "performance" in that other thread makes him, at this moment, a more likely shoo-in for removal than Bruce!

How about we talk about custom installation here, at least mostly; introduce some funny or silly things to break the tension here; and leave all the politics to "Everything Else"?

Here. Take a few minutes to look at this and calm down a bit. It's Florence, Italy.

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Why not have an entire area just for OT threads so we can all avoid seeing them in the Custom Installers Lounge or other dedicated pages?

We already have such a section. It's [Link: remotecentral.com]. This, the proper place for it, is where Bruce Stanley made his latest comments, that ticked off Bonavox and catapulted him through the ceiling.

The reason I think Bonavox is off in arguing for Bruce's expulsion is that
Bonavox went to that forum (the correct thing);
Bonavox commented there (the correct thing);
Bruce was irritated (it's his right to be irritated);
Bruce commented there, not here (the correct thing);
Bonavox lost it (it's his right to be irritated);
then Bonavox did exactly what we've been hassling Bruce about for months, perhaps years, which was to bring the entire problem into this forum (wrong thing in the wrong place).
After Bonavox had "done a Mr. Stanley," Bonavox had the gall to ask to get rid of Mr. Stanley (the wrong thing in the wrong place and today's lesson in irony).

Bonavox, if that's really how you feel, you should set the example and go first.

Nothing personal, Bonavox; I've seen some good contributions from you. I come to that conclusion by following your logic.

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Very much agreed! How could Bonavox impede someone's 1st Amendment rights! :)

Sometimes I think Bonavox and Mr Stanley are the same bi-polar person sitting at the computer, just depends on the day and the meds.

I'm not saying that. I'm saying he's playing the same game but only blaming Bruce. If Bonavox wants Mr. S removed, then he should also be removed. (And the post wondering if they're the same person lends credence to this thought.)

Come on jeff, (bonavox), isnt this call for public ousting a little juvinile. It reminds me of a 7 year old building a list at school of who likes betty and who likes jill.

all groups have interesting people in them. Life would be boring without someone causing a stir.

I've been asking for the power to move OT threads where they belong for years.
I must not be worthy -- which I'm OK with.

What irritates me is that some come back saying that this is the only folder they check and some OT are OK -- then most of the same folks complain about there being too many OT threads here, or that they don't agree with how OT threads here spiral out of control.

Why make their lives more difficult? Anyone here should know where to post something.

We should all agree to keep politics and religion out of here.

Ernie is more wordy than an old fashioned baptist preacher. Can we declare his posts as religious?
