Thank god I spent every day over the last month except for Sundays, Christmas, and New Year's Day working instead of spending the holidays with my family.

Turning 40 this year. I keep saying it, but haven't been listening to it. I don't want to say I missed my kids growing up because I was installing a stereo. The last three months were pretty much swallowed up by a $160,000 project which is almost done and I can almost justify, but it isn't worth my life.

Life is too short, enjoy what's important people.

I broke 50 a couple of years ago.

Judging from my actions and lifestyle in my youth,I should have never made it to 30.

Racing/skydiving/stupid redneck stunts/skiing....... skills or pure luck?

Who knows. At least I'm still here.

Like I said in a previous thread. you never know.... and should treat your loved ones like it could be the last time you see them. I'm 62 and a lot of my friends are "clocking out"... many with little, or no - notice. (Ernie, sorry to sound cliche') but you only live once. Take care of your pals and loved ones!

Vincent always brought funny and interesting stuff to RC.

Peace, Vincent.

I google searched Scott's name looking for his music page...and i found a blog comment and a news report that explains what happened. Sad story. Part of me thinks i should keep this to myself but the other part of me thinks back to all the times people say "if only someone would have reached out" maybe that person would have been able to break themselves from the downward spiral. I think Scott's post says a lot about addiction and our inability to "beat" our own personal demons.

In June:

"Scott Hovhannissian says:
June 18, 2014 at 7:36 pm

My has fallen apart by a toxic relationship with a narcissistic abusive
woman and I cannot escape. I am allowing it to effect everything and
everyone around me to the point where I am losing everything. I have
reached out in every manner I know possible to everyone I can and I cannot
find a reprieve. I cannot find a way to rid myself of this obsession of
this abusive heartless woman. I am codependent and have relapsed after 14
years of sobriety. I have just had my bank accounts emptied by the state of
CT for back taxes and my business is failing. I am desperate for help and I
want myself back but I cannot stop this downward spiral. Please can you
tell me what to do? Can someone help me please? The depleting has taken
almost everything from me, for someone incapable of love."

Sad. He lived only a couple towns over from me as well. Wish I knew he was having these issue, I could have reached out to him to at least try to help.

Well maybe from a mental-maturity standpoint! LOL

That is sad. I've actually met Scott. He was a client and bought stuff from me when I was with another company. Many of his posts made me laugh out loud...literally, which is a skill I admire.

I didn't know he struggled with addiction. Having been down that path in my own life, I always root hard for the underdog in that story. It makes me very sad when I see one fall...unnecessarily.

I had heard he had fallen on bad times because some of his employees started working for another company.

I did a install for him about 7-8 years ago. When he was really busy. He did some cool installs.

Jesus..RIP Scott :(

I talked to him a few times on the phone, good guy for sure. Tough time of year to lose someone. Hard seeing what he wrote in his post and then what the funeral home posted.

I was going to ask how he left us but I guess macs post probably answers that question.

I just wish he had reached out to us. Just goes to show you how many people can be hurting so much on the inside only to hide it so well on the outside.

Thanks Mac for posting that!

May he rest in peace
