Hello, i tried to find your original file on the site but couldn't find it. would you be able to email it to me as well? having no luck with the xfinity menu code on an RTI install and when i ask comcast tech support to get me hex files they think I'm speaking in tongues... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Roddy,

I'd love these codes as well. Had a hell of a time trying to re-program a remote with xfinity and need to try and fix when I go back to do other work.

Jim talk to the guys at CXI directly. The EA series controllers don't seem to learn the IR codes correctly. After fighting through this several times we talked to C4 TS (no help) and CXI who sent us the troublesome codes in HEX so I could copy them into the driver editor.

Codes I had been using for a while worked perfect.. then didnt and when I tried to learn the IR using any EA controller the editor would keep reading it differently. CXI confirmed this and offered any codes in HEX. Call them

They are capable of IR. You Must Un-Pair the original cable remote by pressing the set up button on the bottom left until the top light turns green then hit 987. Once those remotes and boxes are paired, neither work with IR. I spoke with many supposed techs at Comcast/Xfinity, some who didn't even know what IR was. So I continued calling until I got someone who told me what I needed to know. Was a horrible experience and I still have to return the main DVR box as it's giving my clients whole Theater a humming sound through the HDMI. SMH

If the Xfinity remote is paired with the box it turns the remote and the box solely RF. Found out the hard way. To Un-Pair hit the set up button on the bottom left until green light on top then press 987. This will return it to IR. SMH

In Colorado anyway, this has not been my experience. I have X1 in my own house and have the X1 remote paired via RF for voice control while still controlling with C4 via IR. I hope this is how it stays!

I can confirm that this is the case as well.
