I believe URC has a couple different codesets for those depending if it's straight IR(195) or through an MRF(202)

Wow. How did you even find this? We were totally stuck on a job where even learned codes wouldn't work right, some would lock up the remote, etc. Changed from setup code 195 to 202 and it works perfectly.

202 doesn't even show up as anything in the database. WTF. Friggin URC.....lol....

What are you talking about?

Just looking in the IR library browser there's three sets of codes under Cable > Comcast > Xfinity (IP) 203/ Xfinity (IR) 195/ Xfinity (RF) 202.

This has nothing to do with URC, this is that cable box and it's non-standard IR code transmission method. Blame whoever makes that box and sell Tivos which are controllable.

I had a dealer call me the other day asking if I'd heard anything about the new Xfinity client boxes (media extenders I guess, I don't follow Comcast) and the fact those new little boxes are RF control only.

Tivo + Tivo Mini solves your grief.

As Comcast moves farther into the Home Automation space, I think that we can expect their boxes to become less and less friendly.

When we pick 202 as a code set, Save All, exit that window, go back in, nothing is selected. It just says 202 under code set with no manufacturer or model. But it works.

in CCP? something is corrupted in your database then. I would re-install because the X1 Drivers have been in there for 6+ months. THeres even a third version if your controlling from IP.

you think Comcast is intentionally trying to "Automation-Block"? o.O

I've actually heard from very reliable sources that the next gen X1 hardware is going to have a Published API for IP control.

Weird, it's there if I search for it. Pops right up. But if I'm on a different code set and manually type in 202, it doesn't populate.

Time to reinstall.

what do ya know. I just tested it myself doing that same sequence and it does the same thing for me.

If I drill down and select a driver from Device>Brande>Model> save when I go back into program, it does repopulate.

GOing manual with 202. it does not..

Doing a Bluray manual with code 368 does the same thing though so this seems to be a CCP Bug. I could of sworn it used to repopulate properly on a reload, but maybe not.

I have also heard that rumor, from a reliable source. I recently controlled an X1 box with URC. I do very little URC so I have no idea which file I used.

I have a clean CML (RTI hex) I uploaded to the site a while back. I can e-mail it to anyone that needs it. Clean hex given to me by Comcast.

I have a system with 2 MX-890s.. Using the URC codes I first programmed one of them and it worked perfectly. Later I added a second remote for another system in the house and it would not work. If I loaded the config for the first remote into the second it would work and if I loaded the new config for the new remote into the original remote that would work. If I loaded the new config into the new remote it would stop working.. Go figure

Roddy,

I'd love the codes as well. Had a hell of a time with an RTI remote T2C and new xfinity.

Thanks. I need to inspect this a little more but I think I downloaded these maybe from the thread on the rti forums. I had trouble with the OK/Select command not working at all. Ended up using the one for the Cisco box and worked perfectly.

Power toggle was another command I was trying to get. I don;t think the boxes ever shut off. except if you hit the power button or I guess a power failure. Wasn't sure if the xfinity remotes power button would then turn the power on or you physically have to go to the box to initially turn on.

Next time I go to the customer to setup some networking I can play with it more.

I received this file directly from Comcast.
