Why do they have to be 2" thick? What is the application?

OP, keep in mind that the CIs you are dealing with are "pushing" you to their lines most likely because they have positive experiences and results in similar situations. That and dealer support (which results in support for you) is the reason we select lines to carry. Believe it or not its most often not about dumping what's in inventory or waf makes the most up front profit. We are more concerned with long term profit which is derived from referrals from satisfied clients and low service calls.

Dont talk yourself out of a solution because you didn't think of it on your own.

You really ned to give them (your CI) and us a reference of what you think is powerful enough. This is not the days of old where you had couch sized speakers flanking your woodgrain TV.

Every company makes something that is 2" thin/thick. Like everyone has mentioned all of these REQUIRE a subwoofer.

STOP READING THE SPECS

They are for advertising purposes only. Get off of the web and head to a showroom and listen with your ears and not your eyes (and wallet).

Monitor Audio is a slam dunk in this arena as well as Totem (budget may vary).

And also, you don't need to ask if these itty bitty speakers have good bass. That's what the sub does.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
