We try to always bring our cables from the top but in some take over jobs to avoid extending Cat cables that are being used for HDMI, we sometimes have a few cables coming in half way or so, but almost never from the bottom on a pull out rack.

I really like the idea of putting a piece of PVC on a stud to slide your cable bundle back up in to, to protect durcing construction. I've wanted to try Stamp's method for leaving service loops, but it never seems to work as we do so much retro work and just don't have the space.

I'm also not a fan of leaving wires coiled up if not needed as it can cause more issues with interference, but Stamp does some big jobs and would probably not be doing it that way if it were causing issues.
