What better advertising, than to have your station logo permanently burnt into everyone’s TV screen? I have been thinking about this allot over the years and I have come to the conclusion that this is being done to deliberately leave the burn marks on your TV. Why wouldn’t they do this, they imbed subliminal messages in commercials all the time. In the advertising business there is no such thing as negative advertising. If you sue them they win because they get all the free advertising out of the battle. How are you going to beat them in court anyway, the judge is just going to tell you to change the channel.

The solution is easy and will make one of us rich. Much like the ongoing war with caller ID/blocking, someone needs to come up with the device that strips the logos out. Consumers will pay dearly, then the channels will pay you to defeat the system for their logo. P.S. The legal, grass roots approach has about as much chance as this, maybe less.
How hard can this be?

I can picture it now, it is a bachelors party and you put some porn on and teletoon or the family channel is burnt onto the screen. good advertisement for teletoon :-)

I tend to agree with the rest of you. I love thelling the person that has spent anywhere from $5000 to $150000 what they should and shoudn't watch.
