I'm protesting Jim Beam for convincing me to try that devils cut

yep...don't care for the Devil's cut...the JB Black taste a lot like Knob Creek (one of my favorite bourbons), but its a little less expensive.

I swear, devils cut is pure marketing. Some how they figured out how to sell the stuff people wouldn't have drank before. I've been meaning to try Knob Creek. But I have a little trouble associating it as a quality bourbon after I went to the machine gun show in a Knob Creek KY. My mind keeps associating the two.

Everyday bourbon I'm rocking the Elijah Craig 12, Makers, or Makers 46, when I want to get down, I break out the Elijah Craig 20. Awesome shit. Was lucky enough to get a bottle last year for Christmas. Here is my assortment of liquor and my man/garage fridge full of good beers. Funny thing is, I'm not a big drinker, but when I do, I like some good stuff!

I love Jameson. So far I have the Select Reserve Black Barrel, Special Reserve (12yr.), Gold Reserve, & Limited Reserve (18 yr.).

A (very attractive) bartender at my favorite bar just got back from a trip to Ireland. She was cool enough to pick up a bottle of the Distillery Reserve, which as the name suggests is only sold at the distillery in Dublin. I'm headed to the bar tonight to pick up the bottle.

Now all I'm missing is the $260 Vintage Reserve.

My favorite bar has a checklist of drinks they call "the Brotherhood of Beam & Whiskey". You have to drink certain numbers of about 16-18 different whiskeys for a total of 100 drinks. Once you get all 100 checked off, you get an all-you-can-drink party (and a free T-shirt!).

I was advised which was the worst on the list so I could get it out of the way. It was accurate advice. Laphroaig tastes like a combination of battery acid and what I would have to imagine a$$hole tastes like.

Think I've checked 17 off my list so far; plan on knocking another 4 off tonight.

I've got about 55 down so about 45 more to go. They're all $2 off on Thursdays so that's when I go to work on the list. Had some good stuff, some ok stuff, & only a couple bad ones. Worst part is I've been putting the expensive ones off (Booker's, Baker's, Basil Hayden's, etc.)

I'm with them to keep them from getting lonely. No need to check my backpack when we leave

That might be because they're related.

I think I'll enjoy a nice Bloody Mary with the wife tonight..... of course, there will be bacon on the stick and other refinements.

P.S. Bakon brand vodka and Zing Zang premix is great combo.

Do you really like flavored vodkas? I tried a couple and thought they were just strange. Like stuff you would try to use to get a high school girl drunk with to get in her pants.
