i lost my remote for a portable dvd player apex pd 450 from wallmart i would like to buy a universal remote that will work with this device any ideas

have you called the manufacturer, or checked their website for support/parts links.

I would venture you're going to find out the replacement remote is going to cost about as much as the unit.

A cheap universal might also work, albeit maybe not perfectly...they should be available just about anywhere...philips, one for all, sony...all decent, but you'll need to check the compatibility list on the back...and ALL funtions may not work on ANY universal unles they can be taught and/or programmed.

Crestron might be a little expensive, try using an iPronto :)

i tried a rca remote no good only one portable dvd listed and it was not compatable tried self progam no good remote will cost 55 from dealer who makes a remote that lists apex under portable dvd

The One-For-all URC-6131 has 8 codes for Apex dvd players.
