Well, When and IF the Via2 ships, you should have your Intermediate solution...... Sort of.... Definatly a step between a 7000/9200 and an AMX System... But not by much.....
THe Via2 will retail around $3500 with a Docking station and brain... Closest AMX wise would be a MVP-7500 and NI-2000 at around 5k retail(ish).....
I didnt pay much attention to it at CEDIA last year as I'm used to Elan promising something "First Quarter" and not seeing it for a year........ But if they do come through[this month] I'm going totake a hard look at it... Might be a feesible alternative for a basic theater conrol.
