Is it Electrograph? What others beat them in pricing?

Are you referring to plasma/lcd displays? I've spoke with the V, inc. rep (Bravo 1 dvd player) and they are preparing to release a 50" plasma made by Princeton Graphics for $4999. But the Electrographs are supposed to be cheap too. Unfortunately, V, inc. is not distributed only direct.

JBJ,

Have found that OVERALL...electrograph is the most competitive...although often ACTIVE LIGHT and CINELIGHT have better onsey-twosey deals

Cool - I thought it was electrograph but I just thought I'd throw it out there.

I was referring to all types of displays.

yeah...I probably should just buy my displays at Worst Buy or Circuit Shitty or the Bad Guys so I can get an extended warantee...and then goto Hell Depot to buy some glue to glue it to the wall.

I would ideally like to find an alternative to Electrograph as they moved out of California...I used to be able to drive down there for product. Is there anyone competitive in southern California who is worth a $%#@?

I love those guys for certain things but have definately not displays...in fact I sort of have a beef with them not keeping everything I need in stock. When I need 8 miles of cable it takes them way too long!!! But...they did strike up a deal with Pro Connect to provide the lowest cost cable I can get my hands on!

JBJ...

you're killing me rook..

AVAD (probably with the 2500.00 PER DEALER D2B enrollment fee) bought 51% stock in a cable manufacturing company overseas... Pro Connect is THEIR brand now!

THEY ARE NOW MAKING THEIR OWN CABLE! It fails a lot of accepted industry "standards" but you're right, it is cheap! Sometimes, as you know, you get what you pay for!

anyone who would like confirmation of these facts can contact their local AVAD rep, and confirm it...if you STILL have problems confirming this, drop me an e-mail, and I'll get you info for the AVAD rep that told me this at the Denver office!

I was assured by my local office that this cable is manufactured in an overseas factory along with many other brands and it sweeps to 350 and is as good as any other...are you telling me that this is not the case? What are the problems with this cable? have you used it and had problems?

no problems...

but have NOT been assured the same specs are met...

much like much othe rAVAD stuff...there are MANY smoke and mirros to be de-ciphered!

sorry...don't have it out for AVAD, but when I can ROUTINLEY buy product for 20-30% LESS from other distributors (the few items we're NOT direct on that is) then there seems to be a problem!

I'll tell you what - I have no loyalty to them whatsoever...I get whatever I need from whomever I can get it the cheapest. If it turns out that they are blowing smoke up my ass then they'll loose my business and many others that I'll tell about this bull@#$%.

I think their high prices on a lot of stuff is a result of rookies buying EVERYTHING there. I shop! Straight up! I shop all my supliers on everything everytime...some try to pull fast ones and some give us the best deals they can at the time. Volume has some bearing on pricing also from different people. I actually call and pre-negotiate deals on high volume purchases...something everyone should do.
