Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the pin layout is for the Pioneer PDP434HDE plasma as it is not mentioned in the manual.

I am trying to interface it with a Crestron CNX RMC (RJ11) output.
I guess the pins would be the same as the US model.

Thanks.

One thing to look at is the pin layout in the RMC manual. They show pin 8 in the wrong position.

As far as the Pioneer 2, and 3 are TX$ and RX$, pin 5 being ground. Not exactly sure if 2 and 3 are reversed in this case. So you have a 50% chance of being correct the first time.

Dave,

I have heard this mentioned a couple of times so contacted Crestron who sent me an email with exactly the same positions as in the manual?

Do you know what the correct pin layout on the RJ11 is ?

Thanks for your help,

Look at the following PDF - both straight & null cables for RJ11 to DB9 cables. The manual doesn't show the pinout, but it's most likely straight through.

[ link no longer available ]

Pins 7 & 8 are not always necessary, but it never hurts to have them connected, so better to use them and avoid troubleshooting later.

The adapter is available from DigiKey.

Note: Radio Shack's 25' 6-conductor flat phone cable needs to have 1 end reversed to be used for this.
