You will need CCP to program the remote and 400 and about a two weeks to figure out where to start with no access to training. Why a dealer would hand over a 400 for a buck is beyond me. But, its powerful and fun with hours of frustration thrown in until you get a few under your belt. :)

It did you zero help to say you thought TRC wanted you to be a mindless drone. I agree with him that it seems as though you did not read his post.

And if you found an installer that knew less about the system than you, well, that doesn't mean you should not use an installer, that means this is not the guy for this work.

It doesn't seem as though you ever sorted out what the "accessory" switch is, especially when you mention that it's less expensive than the dimmer. The dimmer gives you control. The accessory is a part that turns that dimmer on or off from somewhere else. Thus if you decide to save money by using all accessories, nothing will work. It's like building a car from scratch where you hear that an add-on overdrive gear setup (if they exist) is less expensive than a transmission, so you just put in the overdrive.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I didn't sort it out as you said, I backed off that because it was obvious that my questions were nonsensical. I described the layout hoping someone here would be of some help. I simply want some guidance other than "call an expert", I want to be able to corroborate what my installer is telling me.

You need 5 dimmers and 1 accessory dimmer.

2,3,4,5, and 1 of 6 need to be URC RF dimmers if you want to control them. the 2nd one of 6 needs to be an accessory dimmer.

All you had to do was ask and give use enough information to give you the answer you were seeking.

I am planning to buy the new logitech PRO 2400 remote to replace my MX-6000 URC remote. I am not sure if this remote will work with the URC Lutron dimmers that we have in our home. These dimmers were installed in 2010. Any advice would help. Thanks

Go to Logitech.com and click on the 2400, then look at the big purple box at the bottom that shows the brands it will control.

How are you planning to get this remote?
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

So I went to the Big Purple Box and it says:

Lutron

He has URC Lutron which is not the same thing. Oh well. Replace dimmers or stay with URC, I guess. But I don't know if URC still supports their Lutron-supplied dimmers (since they went in a different direction)...

... may have to hire a pro

URC by Lutron dimmers will work with current CCP remotes, and older TC processors with a RFTX antenna. Some guys used the MRFB (433 MHz dimmers) with RTI from what I understand. I've never heard of them working with Harmony unfortunately in your case.

They will not work with Logitech. I would suggest updating the Lighing to something modern like Casetta.
