IE Keith, I like the option, it can save a few truck rolls for sure. However, I sure like most opportunities to get infront of customer again.

well if they are building these new products the same way they are building there remotes they wont be getting a dime of my customers money.

I have a poor customer that has been remoteless for about5 weeks now, something else is wrong with it everytime URC sends it back. I finally demanded a brand new one for him and they sent it out with the Female usb part missing? WTF!

The last remote that I sent back today has the same issue that started this mess. I have spent too much money on shipping and URC will do nothing to compensate me or my customer for there problems.

Funny, knock on wood I have a TON of RTI remotes in the field and not one has failed on me color in all!!!! saw the thread of does RTI care about quality I feel like i should start one does URC care about quality....ARGHH

sorry to hijack your thread, I had to vent somewhere and yours was the most recent with URC in the title =)

Remote price seems decent. The amp, on the other hand, is out of control. Seriously. $2200? Seems crazy to me.

Doesnt seem so bad to me.

6 Powered Zones + 2 line output, Theoretically "Unlimited" number of inputs.

lack of mobile device support is gonna be a tough sell. If Speakercraft can get Nirv to market before this, it might do em in.. Of course, tat all depends on how well either system actually works out in the wild.

the amp doesn't seem bad. What I need to wrap my head around is if you need the $600 network piece for each input you want to use. I'm bidding a project now with 9 sources and 12 zones and the URC would wind up running around $9,000.

As for URC quality, I've seen a few where after 3 - 4 years buttons stop working, all MX900s, but I have the feeling that yhey have been subject to abuse and spillage, I have a few hundred or so in the field and they've been working well.
Hey, careful man, there's a beverage here!

Price on that Media player is just about right. No way for that Amp. The Prodigy pieces are far less expensive.

I'm not surprised at any of those prices, they seem reasonable. Except for the cameras though, is it just me or do those seem crazy expensive?

Although that multi-room amp does look gay, in general I like URC better than Prodigy for this market. URC has been doing the same stuff since the beginning, there have always been more/better choices as far for one handed remotes. One handed remotes are the lifeblood for the city and economy I live in. URC has also never "faked" it and used someone else's product. Also for example, why on Earth would Crestron want get into the RF distribution market? I like Crestron for who they used to be...good ole Crestron gear and touchpanels.

We're about to get what we've been asking for. If we take away manufacturer's profits (ipads/iphones vs. touchpanels/remotes), they're going to be making this up now in their products.

I think $2200 is way out of line, save for maybe a few specialized instances where you need lots of inputs distributed.

I heard URC will be looking for 40 dealers to install a system in your home and live with it for 6 weeks. They'll want your input and after that it's your's to keep.
