Thanks guys!

CCD ..Levi is only 10 years old, but he is "old school"
in his drivers.
He is a Mark Martin, Dale Jarrett fan. Your comment made
him smile!!!!!!

Latest update....he may also have the flu.....testing
for that, and that would explain his fever. Smiling a
little bit and ate a little this morning.

He is ready for qualifying......right now watching Myth
Busters.

Well it looks like Jarret has a solid chance of being in the show at least. Gotta have a lot of respect for a kid that is not a Dale Jr. Koolaid drinker. I hope Jarrett has an awesome final year of racing and goes out with a bang. JGR has proven that the Toyotas can be contenders now maybe the rest of the teams can capitalize on this.
Tell Levi I will be secretly pulling for DJ next Sunday and I am praying for his speedy recovery. If everything else he is battling isn't enough the Flu sucks...I had to work the last 6 days with a pretty bad case of it myself. Yuck!

radiorhea,

I pray Levi is doing better as I type this. About 4 years ago my middle boy came down with a mysterious illness and we rushed him to the hospital and the next morning they airlifted him to a major children's hospital. After 2 days they still could not figure out what was wrong with him.

At that point I reached out and called everyone to pray for him. He was gravely ill and would not even wake up. At that point after getting off the phone a friend of mine encouraged me to walk out of the room go sit in a quite place and pray. I did and I also prayed for all the other children in that hospital. Within hours he woke up and started to eat. By the next morning he wanted to play and went home the morning after. The doctors to this day still do not know what was wrong with him but I thank God every time I see him for what he did for Justin.

I know as a dad and as you can see by experience how it feels, and know God does hear our prayers.

God bless.

Jason

rhea, My prayers are still with Levi. The question is how are you holding up? I remember all the problems and complications we had with my youngest boy. All of the sleepless nights spent waiting for news. I remember a not so far in the past incident where my oldest boy decided to try a back flip over a triple at his Moto cross race. Through all of this I was a rock on the outside but every wire I looked at made me a bit queasy. I never knew if I was going to be able to keep my supper down from the night before. We are fathers and it’s our duty to be the rock. It’s what’s on the inside that others don’t see. I feel your pain brother. I sincerely hope you are ok. I’ve been there and if I could be granted one wish, it would be that no father should have to feel the way you feel right now.

From the very start of this, I prayed for peace. And peace the Lord has given me. Through all of this, my faith has been strengthened. Prayer REALLY works!

So keep it up guys....

Just saw the post. May Levi recover quickly in Jesus name! Hang in there, it's tough when they are sick. I've done some hospital time too. God bless you all,

My prayers are with you. I've been thinking a lot lately that work is important but some guys I know seem to put it before family. Things like this really put into perspective what IS important. God bless your son and family.

When kids' Lymph nodes are fighting off infection(s), they can really really swell, and scare the hell out of you... They will recede... it just takes a little time... hope your kid is starting to feel better.

There are basically 3 different lev els of severity of kids infected Lymph node infection / swelling... Nothing makes you feel more helpless than when you kid is sick in the hospital.

Hope he is getting good care there.

I feel for you bro. My 2 year old daughter just had a 1/2" hole fixed in her heart. They were weeks away from having to do open heart surgery. Work is work, and we all put in our time, but the investment we make in our family takes so much out of us when something goes wrong. I get choked up a bit even thinking about it. I sincerely pray your little guy will come through this stronger than before, and with a great story to tell of God's grace.

I wish the best medical care and a speedy recovery for your little one. A prayer for you is also on the way.

Prayer does work, guys. Wow, as I write this I have tears coming down my face (I'm hiding in my office). My own walk with the Lord has been rocky for a number of months now. Struggling with a number of issues that I won't get into but, re-reading this thread from beginning to end, seeing what He's doing for your boy, Rhea, seeing how He's touched so many of our lives and changed us. Look at all these folks, believers and unbelievers, rallying. Seeing God get the glory, it's really touched me. I'm gonna call it a day and spend some time with my family and The Big Guy...
