Has anyone tried distributing coaxial digital audio through a video amp. Any other suggestions for distributing a digital signal from one source to up to 6 receivers are also welcome.

Thanks [email protected]

AES/EBU - RBDDA6A
S/PDIF (coax) - RBDDA6S

they are distributed in the U.S. by Fraser Jones at Independent Audio.

Haven't done it, but have been to a couple of product training seminars, where the manufacturers of video distribution amps have said that they work fine for coax digital distribution.

I have actually done this using an Extron Matrix 50 component video switcher. For each input I used two of the ports for C & S, and the other port for Coax digital audio. This way you get a killer s-video and digital audio router for about $1500 or so.

For a killer optical to coaxial digital converter go here.
