God I hate it when you are waiting on an expensive item to be delivered, and you have to be there, or else some slime-ball might snatch it.

Mr.Stan,
Probably shouldn't say that, at least i wouldn't.

Still waiting for the call back, only been half an hour though.

Simon.

well, it's 3 now and i've just been informed that the laptops have been delivered to me already. They supposedly got delivered to my office address, not my home address. Not sure who signed for them though considering the office is closed until next week and we are all on holidays. They are going to look into this for me. Nice of them don't you think?

Thanks Dell, for making me wait a whole frigging day and i still ain't got them, then again, neither do you apparently.
I might give them another call.

Just got off the phone with them and the guy they need to speak to in Melbourne has now gone home. They might call me tomorrow around 10.
I'm pretty sure the number I'm calling takes me to a call center in India too. Everyone I have talked to has had an Indian accent.

Fantastic effort Dell, Love the service so far.

As it turns out, they were delivered today to the office. I had to drive 35kms into the office to check. Buggered if i know who took delivery though, only thing i can think of is maybe the cleaners were there because i know for a fact that no one in the company was there. All good i guess but a pain in the ass.

Helped my friend trim out an ELAN system... Ran into a couple of challenges cutting in speakers.... Hmmmm... well now that I've cut out the hole... where the hell is the speaker wire?!?!?! ---That sort of stuff. My friend had to leave early, so I finished up... I was in a hurry to leave because a friend called me to let me know he had a spare ticket to the Seahawks / Redskins game!

So I started hurrying around finishing up in a panic... Just as I was taking the last tool kit out of the house, Mrs. homeowner calls me into her office because "I can't get online"... (We did nothing today, that would affect their internet access, although her husband was screwing around with the computer when we showed up)... So, anyway I wandered around checking for anything that might be causing the internet problem... couldn't find anything... She said she'd check with her husband (he was in the Theater watching pre-game stuff, and didn't want to be disturbed.)

Literally threw stuff into my wagon, and floored it down to the Stadium, with my gas gauge on empty-but I didn't want to stop and get gas, so I kept racing through yellow lights and a couple red lights to hook up with my pal to get my ticket. Found a parking lot, but the machine wouldn't process my debit card for some reason, so I left a note on the dash that I'd pay in cash after the game!
Didn't get into the stadium until a little after the end of the first quarter, but had a great seat (and free)! A big fat drunk guy behind me fell on me after we intercepted a pass and ran it in for a touchdown, and I fell on the guy sitting in front of me and my ribs are killing me, cups of beer and pop flying all over the place, my coat got soaked!

Enjoyed watching the Seahawks defense play a wonderful game!!! My ears are still ringing from the crowd-noise.

I lost my voice from yelling, and I'm tired.

Got home and there were a few guys shooting off firecrackers in celebration... I ran into my garage and fired off the last of my illegal (commercial - level) mortars.

A good day overall!

I went back to my 2nd cousin's house for a party. I did a plasma install there a while back, thought i'd take a picture. The job is still not done. I still need to mount the LCR speakers. They are from a panasonic HTIB. Speakers suck, but to my cousin, they sound good. Lol, I didn't even bother arguing with her, so I just took the job, mounted the Panny plasma for now.

Ali, Thats a nice clean looking job. Keep up the good work. In the future try to hide the IR receiver. Xantech makes some nice receivers that install in the wall or in a cabinet with just a thin brass ring around the eye. you can also place the dinky link behind the center channel speaker grill but good job just the same.

Thanks for the idea. I've always been scared to use the in wall recievers because I think it wouldn't recieve the signal as well. Next time, I'll definately try it.

Thanks!
