Looks great. What projector are you guys using in there?

Thanks

For projector we are using SIM2 and Sony and we have the Sony 4K in the showroom .

Too bad the Sony 4K player doesn't work with the projector .. waiting for them to fix this .

Nice work Chris and Bandar. Updating/managing showroom demos is a constant and expensive effort.

The hardest part was making updates and keeping things in working order.

We had to treat ours like an actual project and dedicate hours/ days to it. If not it went unfinished forever.

Had to show the young guys how to do what it takes to get the job done. We had to run a wire and could not figure out a way to get it there. I said worst case we pull the speaker and get above the ceiling. They said I couldn't do it so I showed them otherwise.

Climbed through the hole, belly crawled across the ceiling and ran the wire. There was about 18"-24" feet of space above the ceiling, and I was able to make it all the way. This is a photo of me getting breather after making it to the end and back. Surprised that I was able to actually fit through the hole

Mark,

What's the size and structure of your company?

Beautiful work happening everywhere.

Hi 77W, If you are asking me (Mike), I am a 2 man company. Me and a full time installer. Some weeks are crazier than others! I am trying to add another install tech, but have not yet found the right fit.

The rack looks great. Awesome job man. Now you can pull the rack out and be proud to show your customers what it should look behind the rack. The difference between my competitors and me is the details like this that nobody see's.

Great Job.

Ain't that the truth. I'm dealing with a job now that is a takeover job from a company that came up from NJ (Brendon? ;-D)

There are several separate systems in the house, 2 of which have pull out racks in a cabinet. The wiring behind them is appalling. It is near impossible to slide the racks back in currently as all the wires get caught up in the tracks. Some equipment is in the cabinet to the right of the rack. That equipment will not work when you pull the rack out because they ran the power from the equipment in the cabinet to the rack, and it unplugs when you pull the rack out. I made sure the client saw how bad it is as he is not really wanting to spend the money to update the wiring.

I am still guilty of less than perfect (read unacceptable) rack build outs. I just don't take all the necessary steps in accounted for what it takes time and materials wise.

Not to mention I hate power supplies.

I still don't feel like ours are perfect but I make our tech's keep extra slack in wire instead of cutting it to perfect lengths. because of that, they are not perfect but they are practical to service. We got our lead tech's involved in the rack design so that they have what they want. No excuses!
