I give a big kudos to the volunteer effort and the great shows.
I do appreciate that.
What we really need is a direct line of thought to the manufacturers!
I think they've lost sight on what really drives this market!
Without discrete on/off and input codes, there product is worthless to me.
But Sams club and Wallmart can sell a ton off them. Why would they care if the customer is really happy with the product?
How did we grow up to be this way?

Jeez... Stew you were really digging to resurrect this one huh?? It was like 3 years and 9 months betweenn posts.
That must be a record here.
For the record, I agree that CEDIA (or CEA, or the Remote Central CI guys, or anyone for that matter) needs to convince the manufacturers to adopt a standard that shows a couple different levels of CI friendliness.
I am starting a new thread to discuss this...
