Ok...well I finally took the plunge and am now the owner of a 9600! Totally amazed at the screen and how it operates.

But....I'm just putzing about looking and discovering the many things about the 9600 and have my first question which I could not find in the forums. Assigning sounds to buttons. I know how to do it and it is working, BUT.....I cannot get rid of the default beep that goes with each button. I do hear my assigned sound, but in addition to the default sound. How do you get rid of the default sound?

Thanks for any assistance!

Via the editor go to "System Properties->Control Panel Settings->Volume Settings->Button Volume" turning said button volume to Off. This same setting can be accessed via the Control Panel as well by holding down the "Tools" icon for 4 seconds.

LP....as always, you come through with an answer. I looked at this and it didn't cross my mind. Figured turning that off would turn it all off. But I got the result I wanted. My sound plays just as expected.

Many thanks!
