Is there anyway for the Philips Pronto TSU9400 to send/receive a RF signal? We also have the RFX9600 unit to go along with the remote and would like to some how be able to control Lutron RF switches (not IR, since the switches will be out of our "line of sight").

How would I go about getting around this?

Any help is always appreciated! :)

Don't know if this will help, but I have my TSU9400 operating through the RF Extender for all 9 components in my rack (behind a wood cabinet door). The only two exceptions that are still in IR are the TV and an IR to X10 converter which I use to control the lights and the fireplace. Just because you don't have line of sight doesn't mean you cannot get the lights to work. Don't know what protocol the Lutron lights you are using are working off of, but there is likely an IR to powerline converter. Simply put it in line of site of the remote, and plug it in an outlet. It will convert the IR signal to a powerline comand to control the lights. You just have to find and download the IR codeset from this site that is compatible with your lighting system, and again, find a hardware solution like the IR to Powerline converter I mentioned. The folks at Smarthome.com might be able to help you as well.

The Lutron RF switches can't be controlled directly. Are they a part of a Homeworks or RadioRA system?

Thanks for the input! Would you be able to share the model #s of the products that you use? It seems like our setup would probably be quite similar.

Thanks!

The Pronto 9400/9600/9800 do not do plain RF. They use WiFi to communicate with the TFX9400/9600 extenders.

Assuming the Lutron is Radio RA then you need a RA-RS232 or Chronos. The RA-RS232 can be found cheaply on eBay often. Chronos units are harder to come by.
