The following was discussed with the Pronto rteam at cedia. The file save for a prontoscript is a waste of time. The only reason you will save it is to launch a decent editor. Why not just do that complete operation. Save the script at some temp location (remember where) invoke an editor by just launching the application for the document extension js. When the editor completes, check to see if the script was changed and if so reload it into the PEP place where it belongs.

I need to do this so often that is why I wrote the XML tool that does it all for you.

I think they did get the ip working with the simulator
, but then realised what they had done.... think about
it...................

You would not need a pornto anymore :) that would not
be in there best interest..

Think about this.... the Pronto is designed for two-way serial and IP communication. The most elegant solutions will extensively use these features to integrate other hardware and software, yet the developers provide no way of testing this in the simulator. If they do that simply because they are afraid people will use the simulator running on another device, then they need to find a way to license the software. Make the software tools more robust and easier to use and people will flock to the hardware.
