Using a Humax HDR Free Sat unit, and the TS9600 with a 9400 - an interesting problem. IR codes leanrs fine - tests fine (through IR of course), but will not transmit OK to the Humax - THe code is for the TV Guide, all other codes apart from Play are OK - Both of these codes work fine via IR but not via the 9400 extender.
Have tried high and low power, have moved IR eye close and far and diagonally off centre, have releart code time and time again!
Close to offerring money to someone who can help me fix this!
...Jon.

Indeed, duration changed to 0.5, 1 2 and 5 - Latest firmware on both devices!
Does anyone know of a laptop based IR decoder that can read IR directed to the laptops IR port and display it

I have what you need but am in the US. I built a laptop based decoder that uses a device called the Nirvis slink-e which just returns frequency and timing information on the IR stream. My software, then being told the expected protcol will analyze the timing bursts and fully decode it. It will also work with a paste of the same data in pronto HEX learned format if you want to send me the Pronto Hex data and some indication of what the actual IR protocol might be.

Peter satisfy my curiosity. Just what does changing the duration of an IR code do exactly in the Pronto? Is it just changing the final off time? or does it repeat the codes for the length of the duration?

I have the same problem with my DVR-540HX. Learned codes work fine with the TSU9400 but not through the RFX9400 extender.
Latest firmware installed on both devices. No network problems. Extender works fine with AV receiver and TV, both learned codes and database codes. Have tried different durations, normal and low output level, different distances and angeles for the emitter.
Need help!
