See Link below for documentation. Note that the Vision Servers are not yet fully supported. However support for PEPv2 and TSU9800 will be provided.

Hi Lyndel - have you considered doing EscientPronto for the 9400, or would the screen res be too much of a restriction?

Screen is really too much of a restriction and require what I believe to be quite a bit of work to get things just right.

See the demo available @ www.onlyoneremote.com and you can see just how much music and movies would be restricted by moving from 640x480 to 240x320.

Dear Lyndel,
if I have seen it correct, your script is controlling music, video and internetradio.
What hardware you need for this script?
What is the price for a licence?

I wanted to share my experience with EscientPronto on my 9800. First I should note that I am a total newb when it comes to Pronto. I just got my 9800 a few weeks ago(my first Pronto) and had a lot of trouble getting it set up--it was a steep learning curve for me. I am also new to Escient as I purchased an MX-531 music server at the same time I got the 9800.

I purchased EscientPronto from Lyndel and I have to say that it is a great piece of work. Everything works as advertised and it is much better than the built in Escient script that comes with PEP. It has a very clean, functional, and intuitive interface with a variety of skins from which to choose.

The instruction sheet that comes with the program is extremely well written and clear. Integrating the script into a project is not particularly straightforward but that seems to be a function of oddities in PEP2. The instructions that Lyndel provided to me, however, were very easy to follow and worked like a charm. It took less than 10 mintues to get the script incorporated into my project. If I can do it, anyone can since, as I say I have only been working with PEP and pronto for a few weeks.

I would recommed it to anyone with an Escient. It's really worth it.

Thanks for the good work Lyndel.

Version 1.0.2 will be free to current users. When someone purchases, I add their email (hope I get the right one because user-email and paypal-registered email may be different) to a distribution list. When updates are available, you should receive an email with new download link.

When 1.0.2 release, this thread will be updated and if you did not receive an email, simply drop me a note.

Here's a status update.

I have a working 1.0.2 module but in the hopes of trying to get the module to behave better with the Vision series, I postponed GA release for a few days. Hopefully, GA will be available in a week or so. If I cannot get things worked out early this week with Vision, Version 1.0.2 will be released with no "official" support for Vision Systems which means:

If you have a problem, don't ask for support as it may not work as you would expect.

I also own Lyndel's EscientPronto and it was very-very simple to set up and use. I will be upgrading to a TSU9800 within a couple of weeks, so it is perfect timing for a new version!

EscientPronto 1.0.2 is being released WITHOUT support for the Escient Vision series at this time. If you are a paid, licensed, user and did not receive an email from me with a download link, please drop me an email at my yahoo account.

Happy Thanksgiving

I have full plans for a Vision module. As I don't own a Vision, I amgoing to have to "borrow" access to a system to do some testing. As there are some significant differences in the way the Vision operates compared to the Fireball, it may turn out that Vision is a separate product offering.
