63 views and no replies. Just because its offered on the internet does not mean it will work. The company doesn't have to do anything but sit back and take our money. Unfortuantly, pdawin is breaking the law, or ethics on advertising. The item to make their remote control work at gretter distances does not exist anymore! Electric Dogs CF Remote Extender. See Dave Houston's reply on Teaser for Technolgy.

There is no support. But they do take our money, so they must exist.

However, it does give me the best IR output of all the remote control software, so I will not complain much. And it does help me to demonstate X-10 ccf's to my customers. Thats all I am currently using it for.

To those of you that read this, I am waiting for more replies on Teasers for Technology. This was my first pda remote teaser. Then, Vito, Ultra, Total and back to pdawin.

Why did you switch from Psiloc's "Total IR Remote"?

Your just beginning, do your research, check out the Pronto Forums for ccf and all of your ir codes, not NG different file type.

The information is endless! It can become your next obsession, so be careful.

There is always something newer and bigger around the corner, so to much programing may just go to waste.

You need to get off this forum and eventually head over to the Pronto Forums to get help with you ccf.
[Link: remotecentral.com]

But first get a ccf editor tonto is great, but its upward compatability is lacking. I use Pronto Edit PE ver4:

and download some pretty ccf (component configuration files) from:
[Link: remotecentral.com]

save em, unzip em, open them up in your editor, run the emulator - - - AND PLAY.

Keep you window open with the editor, this way as you play with the buttons to see what they do, you can open them up on the editor and look at the behind the scene stuff. You will learn about frames and buttons, before and after images - selected and unselected. etc.

Cut, copy, paste, Find one you like and use it as a template.

All questions have already been asked in those forums so research read, users over there will not hold your hand - the learning is up to you!

When it is time to create you own ccf, I started mine fresh / from scratch. There are a lot of hidden things in those files that I do not trust.

Good Luck and create something new and posted it for others to use.

Oh, you want the: easier softer way! (yes that is another type of code)

Like I said, I haven't really explored the AV features, but that sounds right, When in learn mode, I beleave you can overwrite the existing IR codes to meet your needs.

But did you go and look at the 5,000 plus samples of ccf's? and all the IR codes for more than you can imagine.

You could even have an IR code to turn on the towel warming rack for when you get out of the pool on cool night.
