Has anyone has attempted or been successful at modifying Pronto Edit so that you can use bitmaps with more than 219 colors and take advantage of the really nice sceen color PDA's offer? Even being able to bump it up to the full 256 colors would be a plus after seeing what it does to images when it decreases the color count. The true goal though would be to potentially allow 32,000 colors at once on screen. And while I know this would create space problems, not every image would have to use the max allowable color count.

You'd be much better off putting this in the Pronto forum.

Actually I did put a version of this post in the pronto forum, however I put it here too, fearing perhaps some of the Pronto users might scoff at the idea of modifying Pronto Edit to improve the PDA image quality.

Ok I have attempted to use the compiler/decompiler CCF program to swap a high color bitmap for a low color one, recompile it and then load it into the PDA software. (Thanks for that idea by the way Anthony) However, when I run the CCF in the PDA software the high color image is back in a low color format. So now I just need to find if it is the compiler/decompiler or the PDA software which is now reducing the color count.
