Edit.. i just finished the 320X240 also...

I just finished the 240X320 version of Tactical. I have the 320X240 and the 1280X768 left to do.

The 640X480, 800X600 and 1024X768 were easiest because i started with the 800X600 and i was able to copy paste most of the pages from one to the other. The smaller resolution panels are tricky because you cant fit everything on a single page. Now that i have the 240X320 done i am hoping the 320X240 goes pretty quick.

I dont know what im going to do with the 1280X768. All that space :). Any ideas? Anyhow.. this is what i came up with last night/this morning for the Crestron TPMC-3X.

Very nice Stamp.

Tactical has a sharp, yet fluid feel. I'm digging the blue accents on the buttons.

Nice job 39 Cent.

For the 1280 X 768, could you create a page that includes the most used buttons from all the other pages? Sort of a "Quick Access" page? Each section could have its own "Details" button that pops-up a smaller page.

Some customers like that "one page does almost everything" look.

I was thinking along those lines also.. sort of a 'widgets' or quick launch page.

 Looks good, nice tagline.

You sure you want to be that cheap?

I based my pricing on the templates available at 3 GUI sites. Those 3 sites have been around a lot longer than me so if anything i felt i was pushing the envelope a little.

Template pricing is typically a fraction of the price for a custom project. With a custom project all labor & overhead is covered by one client. With a template i can resell it for a small percentage of what it cost to generate and hopefully recover the time & overhead investment and then profit from it.

Love the advertising.

The GUI turned out really nice, and the pricing is standard, you should re-coupe nicely, good luck with the sales.

Stamp,

I really like the buttons and the way you have used a dark-light border around them, helping them look like real buttons.

Your icons for the different sources are well done as well, very creative.

There is a video at the top of the page that I couldn't get to play. FYI.

I never got around to it :). I wanted to do a video that showed how to navigate the user interface. Much like the one that GUIFX put out for Deana. Most of us can look at it and guess how it operates but others wont 'get it' until they see it in action. I had the idea last year but i havent had time to do it yet.

I am like most of you guys and i work 40-60 hours a week. To make a long story short....there are hundreds (3 or 4) of hours wrapped up in my current website & Tactical. I switched from a Blog to a Blog-Store in May of last year (thanks Tom). On November first i made Tactical available for sale. I am currently trying to wrap up the remaining resolutions that will complete the set. I am also working on adding to the existing source icons (AM/XBOX/Pool) and cleaning up a few i am not happy with. I cant just google/steal graphics anymore so i have to make them now and icons take FOREVER. I really like the rectangle shape i came up with. They look super clean and symmetrical on touchpanels. I just uploaded a couple pics of a panels with the Tactical loaded here : [Link: guijaboard.com]

I like the simplicity of the silver icons in the navigation menu. I thought it would be nice for an integrator to be able to easily add any icon he wants without needing to buy more graphics. I am currently working on another set of icons for the navigation menu. These represent the extent of my icon making abilities right now. I am designing them specifically for Tactical. Existing customers will get the set emailed to them once its done.

All i can say is that i have a LOT of respect for the guys at NTDesigns, Blackman Customs, GUIFX etc. Its one thing to put together a user interface for a single client and an entirely different animal when you are trying to guess at what to put in your template. Then you have to check every little detail for mistakes. Its not a hobby business, its full time work for the professionals.
