Hello! This is my first post.

I have lost my IRC160N-1 RGB LED remote controller, and I found that a IRTrans user have mapped all codes in .rem format. I was wondering if there's a way to convert it to HEX file, so I can use it with my iRule, since I can't find this remote to buy anywhere else.

I don't really know the IRTrans format, but using this link and some knowledge of IR protocols, I think this is the NEC1 IR protocol, device 0, subdevice  239 (EF in hexadecimal).  On is function 3

I guessed that it was NEC1 because the lead in on duration is twice the off duration, data bits have two durations, one 3X the other, and the lead out is a little over 100mSec. Also the code seems to be 32 data bits, and the 4th byte is the complement of the 3rd byte. The first byte is the device number, 2nd is subdevce, and 3rd is the function number.

Then I used MakeHex and the MakeHex GUI to produce the Pronto Hex.

You can find the free Capedit program in the files area. It can import Irtrans REM files and convert them to pronto codes, and export in a CSV format that many programs can use.

The program was developed for the Touchsquid app, but can beused with other systems that use Pronto hex code.
