With the lack of gun control in this country, he had no problem legally buying the gun or the 30 round clip. Who the F$&K needs a 30 round clip for a glock?

I don't mean this to become political. But I just don't get this. I don't understand why people are against gun control (same thing here) and I don't mean to get into that. But how are Kinder surprise (chocolate/milk egg with a toy inside) band and so contraband and no one has an issue with it?

link to article

I had to google that because its not sold in the United States. From wikipedia...

"Kinder Eggs are sold all over the world excluding the United States, where the 1938 Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act prohibits embedding "non-nutritive items" in confections. "

Why am i against gun control? Have you ever been on the highway and watched morons battle it out over who gets to be in front? Or seen idiots fight over parking spaces? How about those lovely black friday events? Sporting events?

Humanity is not ready for a society where everyone is allowed to carry something that can be used to kill someone else or themselves.

Gun control isnt about keeping weapons out of the hands of the normal people. Its about keeping guns out of the hands of everyone else.

I know they are illegal in the US that is why I added an image, so you can see what it is. The link to the article kind of got messed up, but a Grandma was bringing one to her grandkid in the US and when the border guards checked her car they found it, confiscated it and she had a 300$ fine for a ~1$ chocolat egg

I know the link might not be obvious, but when you hear "guns don't kill people" from people that don't want any type of rules on guns, I find it funny that chocolate eggs do and they are banned in the country.

I guess you meant for gun control.

Here in Houston we have been having a rash of bad guys with illegal guns getting shot and killed by business/home owners with legal guns.

I thought high capacity clips were illegal for civilians, or did the ban run out?

All of the high capacity stuff is made for military and law enforcement but you know how people are, they'll sell anything, to anybody, if they can make money.

Ban expired in 2004 due to the NRA's power. I don't understand how a group made up of less than 1 % of the US polulation can scare our elected officials.

You talkin the unions?

About 50% of Americans own firearms.

The NRA speaks for gun owners NOT its members of 4.3 million.

As soon as I heard about this I wondered WTF happened after the Virginia Tech shooting. Right after that, the Dems offered to immdeiately work with the NRA to push for mandatory instant background checks, updated mental health record, criminal records, etc. The NRA layed the guidelines that they would not budge on and the Dems promised to work within the guidelines and push this thru. It really was a ray of light.

Fast forward and not like promised, but as expected, our elected officials did nothing. Blame both sides of the aisle.

FWIW most crimes like this would have been prevented by simply enforcing laws on the books and keeping reasonable records - both criminal and mental.

I'm all for mandatory INSTANT background checks for the purchase of both guns & ammo. As is sits now, background checks are not mandatory but optional and many states and can take 6 months. There is no need to take months to do this.
