you can't edit the Lutron module from the yahoo crestron group. Having said that you can take there module and create your own with it to make it system builder compatible. Basically in the define arguments symbol you are going to use inputs and outputs from the keypads/dimmers. if you haven't taken the essentials class I would suggest taking it. That training covers creating your own modules and making them system builder compatible.

FWIW my experince with homeworks has lead me to use the phantom button presses that can be generated in the HW software and then converted to serial so when the crestron processor is talking to the HW processor it is doing so via a virtual keypad press...very easy to generate in SB once you have the HW generated phantom buttons.

add generic serially controlled device. when added right click on device, then hit properties. click on properties tab. you will see 50 positions for serial strings.

ok so a few more questions.
1- what if i need more then 50 commands? (please dont say write a module in simple cause i dont know how yet and i need to get this done)
2 - any way to name these commands so i can tell the diff between them, or do i have to create an excel sheet to keep track of them?
thanks!

im not sure if you can add another generic serial device and lay it on the same port. i know you can stack multiple ir devices on a single output port. give it a try. not by my laptop or i would try for you.
