ok a few things.

1st . . i rock!
variable volume works depending on which room
(button associated to specific room that i press),
all custom programmed. no built in logic whatsoever for that
: )

2nd - i just updated the ipod dock and it now recognizes more ipods .. sweet!
as i was updating i saw this on their site . .

P-IDOCV, version 1.009.0001 Select for Firmware and Release Notes.
The following changes/enhancements were made in version 1.009.0001

"Added support for up to 3 simultaneous control processor connections
Fixed various compatibility issues with Crestron Sync
Changed behavior so that a song will not be interrupted when the play button is pressed after the song is already playing
Fixed issue where song info was not cleared when a video was chosen
Added support for Nano 1G and 2G"

does that mean i can have 3 seperate prodigy systems all utilizing the same ipod dock? if so that means i really just went through a ton of customizing on a system, which i could have technically done by just have two PMC2+ systems , one for each 5.1 video room, and shared an ipod dock.
well not for nothing, since i learned so much in the past two days. .
but still . .im curious.

3. what do you guys do for iphone control from outside the house
dyndns?

go into the setup page and look at standby settings.

seems you have to redo this setting after every new program download.

I just updated my system builder for Prodigy and don't see any signs of being able to add Mobile Pro G for iPad. Can anyone confirm whether or not this is going to be possible?

Any support for 3 way switches with Prodigy lighting?

Currently, you have to use the P-CBD buttons to simulate 3-way switches. Essentially you have a main dimmer module, then use the presses from the P-CBD 120v keypad to work with the load. Crestron has gotten away from 'slave' systems and gone to wireless 120v button panels.

Has anyone experienced trying one-way serial from an IR port yet? I can't seem to make it work, have a QM-RMC and the settings and programming work fine, but put that one a one-way driver in a prodigy system and it doesn't.

Used my DB9 tester and I do not receive any signal on RX or TX from the Prodigy.

I haven't tried, but from everything I've read, its suppose to work. Did you find any documentation on how the DB9 needs to be wired?

Well, there are only two wires...lol.

I have a DB9 tester that shows Rx Tx signals, and no matter what wire I connect I get no indication there is a voltage on those wires from the IR port. Just for giggles I moved the tip of the 1/8" to Pin 2 on the DB9 and still no love.

I have a email to TB in, we'll see I guess.

for the ipad app, for now you have to add it in system builder.
they said it will be added to prodigy composer in the next build.

Duh. I've done it in Prodigy and out, in Simpl and in Systembuilder. I am not sure if you are usning an IR port if you will see voltage till a signal is generated.

I've not done it from a QM-RMC.

Do you have the ir to serial driver on that port? Are there any other ir drivers on this ir port?

Stupid question, but on the PAMP it has two strips of plastic that look like you would put the labels for room and source behind it, giving sort of a laminated look.

However, I can't figure out how this little clear plastic strip comes out. I can use a small flat head and tilt it out, but could never get the labels on very well like that. I must be missing something. Do I have to take the case apart?

Any on the Cresnet wire. I noticed that on the premade cable that comes with the PAMP that the drain is connected to the ground on one end as expected, but does it matter which piece the drain end gets connected to? The PMC2 or the PAMP? Same question with the wired audio controls that use the Cresnet, does the drain connected end plug into the PAMP or the keypad?
