There hasn't been any talk about it in the last year or so, but can anyone get the Mobile Pro demo on the iPad working on Prodigy or is it still just the $100 option

It's a good price at $100, I know, just trying to get a few customers in the door with the demo who are hesitant on iPad control.

You need a processor for the demo program to work. The App cost $100.00 from the APP store.

I understand i need to pair it with a processor for the Demo to actually do anything, but for a while, people werent getting it to work with Prodigy. Has this changed? Can I use the free demo with Prodigy (with whatever limitations the demo has)? I have some customers who are unsure of using an iPad for Control and I want to set them up with the demo and see if this convinces them.

As I understand it works fine with prodigy. I have done several Iphones with Prodigy with no problems. It is pretty much the same connection. The problems people are having is probably how they are setting it up. I purchased one of the original Prodigy demo kits and the Mobile Pro App worked fine for me. The Ipad works great for control. The connection is really quick and the response is quick as well. I would not use the Ipad as the only point of control for the room. They haven't released the new apps yet so yes, you need a processor to use the Ipad as a demo. You can't load directly to an Ipad like a touchpanel.

I was looking at the app store on the Mobile Pro G App and it does say there that there is a Demo program included that you DON't need a control processor. I have never tried it. Anyone else ever use this demo?

There is, I'm working on a project now and I downloaded both the free and $99 app yesterday and saw the demo option and works nice. Now, I showed it to my customer and now he wants his to look like that. Does anybody know what template that is?

If it is a custom template it probably came from GUIFX. The default template that comes with the mobile pro is destiny. What template came with your purchase? Thinking about buying the new IPAD 2 and setting it up in my house. I have done several Iphones but only one Ipad and that was the basic destiny template.

The Destiny user interface generated for Prodigy with System Builder is nowhere near the look of the demo, just so you know. I've been meaning to figure out how to make it look like the demo but haven't had the time yet. Has anyone done this without knowing Simpl and how easy is it?

If it is not a destiny template on the demo than it is a custom template. Can you find the VTPRO project in the demo file? If you can than you should be able to save it as a new file and do whatever you want with it. You can buy custom templates from anybody and use them with system builder. Just don't let system builder build your pages. I use custom templates from Black Man Designs for the MTX-3/PTX-3 all the time.

The mobile pro G demo is available from Crestron site under example programs.

Yes when you add the ipad to the system don't build the template. Download the rotation demo and when you go into the properties of the ipad you can select the rotation demo as the new project.

I have spoke to Crestron regarding using the rotation demo file for our template. They said it is possible but recommend only using expandable memory processors as the size of the file is much larger than that of the SB built project.
You can't fix stupid

How do you added to the template directory so I can see it in the SB templates for the IPAD?

Like above, when you add the Ipad to your system UNCHECK THE BOX THAT SAYS BUILD INTERFACES. Save the Ipad demo to a location your custom templates are. When you click on the properties of the ipad browse to the location where you saved the Ipad demo and select it. The Ipad Demo will not be in system builder templates because it is not one. Click the help button in system builder to learn more about system builder templates.
