I just bought this player. Although I found an MXD version of this remote. The Universal Browser doesn't seem to be able to open this up in the MX3000 Editor software.

Does anyone have this remote in RCC or can tell me how to use the MXD version?

Thanks.

This is how I do it.
1. Create a button.
2. Open Universal Browser and go to Pioneer file.
3. Click Device+
4. For "Play" (for an example) look at group 1
5. Click and Drag "Play" to your button.
6. Your button should show a blue "L" for "Learned" code.

That has worked for me when I made configs for the few friends I have.

Good luck,

John

John:

I may be late or I may be slow, but I'm not following. I created a button as you suggested. However, I can't open this Pioneer file through Universal Browser since it is in MXD format (perhaps unsupported). So this file will not show, unless I specified ALL FILES under File Type. The Pioneer file now shows. However, I can't Open it as I did with an MXF file for example to drag and drop. Am I missing something?

Thanks.

The Universal Browser doesn't work with MXD files (don't know why). The only way to use that file is to open it up as a new device in MX-700/800/850 Editor, and then re-save it as an MXF file which MX-3000 Editor *can* work with.

Since I don't know if you have that software I've done this for you and emailed the results.

Thanks Daniel. I went to the Pioneer site and they had an MXF file for this device. So I downloaded it. However, it's good to know that an MXD file can be converted to MXF for future reference.

Sorry I didn't realize you were using a MXD file that you found originally.
I thought you had found the MXF on the Pioneer site.
Now that you have it you should be good to go.

Well, not exactly. I got the codes downloaded. However, no discrete On and Off. Would anyone have one for the Pioneer BluRay player?

Thanks.

JoeS,
I just got back from CEDIA and I don't have the right computer available to view the files but on my MX-850 discrete codes are on Page 2 as P-ON & P-OFF.
I think that's where they are in the file.
I will check tomorrow.
